| Abstract: | The author reports on the major changes that have occurred in the British brewing industry, as a result of the 1989 Monopolies Commission report. The ensuing pressure on breweries to make large scale pub disposals has coincided with a weak property market. In the end, this may result in properties being sold at a loss. The future of British breweries is uncertain. |
