Abstract:The author of the article states that the digital dream was born partly out of the determination that Britain should be a go-ahead nation of digital citizens, as the forefront of the next industrial revolution. The author of this article considers the failure of the ITV Digital and raises the questions about the future of digital broadcasting in Britain. The author also explains how the digital dream becomes a nightmare. The author states that there are over 5m consumers out there interested in acquiring more TV, but not pay-TV. More than 30% of the population don't get it and don't want it.
