| Abstract: | This article shows the results of a study of the history of debate programmes on Swedish television in 1956-96. The author tries to provide contribution to existing media theories about genre history and genre change. Author also tries to relate changes in the genre to macro-level societal changes and phenomena which bases on theories and arguments of Jürgen Habermas. |
