Abstract:In this study the authors examine the effect of employment status (temporary/regular) on the relationship between employees and organization. The subject is studied through a questionnaire where 234 temporary employees and 204 regular employees from two different companies answered the questionnaire. The findings indicate that those temporary employees who preferred their temporary work status had a less socioemotional employment relationship and more economic than with regular workers. Those temporary workers who preferred regular employment had the opposite as their sociemotional employment relationship was high and economic lower. In addition the authors found that those workers with high socioemotional terms were positively related to satisfaction with the organization.
