| Abstract: | Buy-outs and MBOs (Management Buy-out) in particular underwent a rapid development during the last decade in the USA and the UK as well. In comparison Germany's buy-out-scene has to be characterized as less developed in view of number and size of deals. The aim of the working group was to find out which conditions are most important for the growth of a buy-out-market and which steps could and should be taken to improve these conditions. One of the results of the study is that a market driven-development should be preferred to that supported by direct governmental subsidies. |
