Abstract:Stemming from its multidimensional nature, the calculation of cultural value is considered to be difficult. Both sociodemographic characteristics, which are easy to take into consideration, and attitudinal characteristics, which are still under research, also affect cultural value. Exploiting factor and cluster analysis, this article introduces the use of a cultural worldview scale, formulated to measure cultural attitudes. The scale consists of four components: cultural linkages, recognition of cultural values, cultural loss and preservation of traditions and customs. This study shows a number of advantages with the scale, and analyses the links between the scale and sociodemographic variables.
