Abstract:The business world is like war. This statement is rendered even more veracious as businesses gear up to compete neck to neck with one another. In this context, inspirations may be drawn from ancient Chinese teachings including battlefield strategies to enable marketing strategists to enhance their competitiveness further. The Thirty-Six Chinese Classical Strategies of War is a renowned ancient book of warfare which is in circulation among Chinese army commanders for a long period of time. to date, more than 2,300 titles of military writings from ancient China have survived.
