Abstract:Managing knowledge successfully is the goal of every organization (hereafter as: org./orgs). A firm's knowledge management (KM) strategy should reflect its internal competitive strategy (hereafter as: str.) . The chosen str. should create value for the firm's customers, turn a profit for the firm and focus on how the firm's employees deliver on the value, differentiation, and speed. This paper inspects the KM practices of three orgs. and discusses the commonalties based on a grounded theory approach. The results are intended to show some of the tools and methods that successful orgs. have used to manage their knowledge.
