Abstract:The value and revenues obtained from the IT investments of companies seem to be perpetually disappointing. Some disappointments can be explained by the lack of understanding about how IT can actually create value for companies. The authors present a model called Vision-to-Value (V2V) Vector, which is a chained sequence of activities that explains the value creation from IT. The model defines value, financial formula and proposes who should be the one securing value from the IT investments.
