Abstract:Radical behaviourist interpretation is a reconstruction of the probeable environmental causes of observed behavior; the environmental stimuli currently influencing observed behavior must be inferred from the factors which are known to control operant behavior in the laboratory and in field experimental settings. Such interpretation thus proceeds inductively. Three successive and interactive levels of interpretive analysis can be proposed. The first and most general level categorizes consumer behavior as belong to one of four operant equifinality classes.
