Abstract:This paper describes a number of things that Tesco has done over the past years. It tries to put them into context and illustrate the threads that knit them together, and to explain the sort of the business that they are trying to be. The article stresses the importance to be customer-focused, to ask "what is there for the customer?" and to respond to changing needs in order to be successful. Another important phrase is "the best value".
