Abstract: | This report provides an overview of the market for canned food in Spain. For the purposes of the report, the author has divided the market into the following 10 main sectors: Meat and meat products: Fish and seafood; Vegetables; Tomatoes; Beans; Fruit; Ready meals; Soup; Pasta; Other canned food. The author states that the value sales of canned food performed strongly in 2000 compared to previous years and rose by 3.5%, to reach Ptas258 billion. Canned fish and seafood represented over 64% of total value sales with canned meat and meat products, vegetables, beans, tomatoes, fruit and other canned food accounting for the remainder. |
