Abstract:This report analyses the market for carbonated soft drinks in Italy. For the purposes of the study, the market has been broadly divided into two main sectors - cola carbonates and non-cola carbonates. These two sectors have been further subdivided as follows: 1) Cola carbonates (Standard, Low- calorie, Other); 2) Non-cola Carbonates (Lemon/lime, Orange, Mixers, Other). Figures in tables are calculated from unrounded data and may not sum. The author also provides the following information: main findings; market size; new product development; retail distribution. The author states that volume retail sales of carbonated soft drinks reached 1,807.9 million liters in 1999, representing a rise of 5.1% on 1995 and of 1.0% on 1998.
