Abstract:This paper aims to evaluate systematically the psychometric properties of Forsyth's Ethical Position Questionnaire (EPQ) across consumers from several countries. Using confirmatory factor analysis and multigroup LISREL analysis, this article investigates the factor structure of the EPQ and the measurement equivalence of five societies. It is shown that the modified scale, measuring idealism and relativism, was applicable in all five societies. Equivalence was found across Britain, Brunei and USA.
