| Abstract: | This article deals with politics (here as: polts.) in post-communist Russia. There is a decline of interest in polts. among the Russian people. Despite democratic elections (as: elcts.), there is a deepening of government alienation of the people. As shown through the decline of turnouts in national elcts., mechanisms of representative democracy have failed. |
