| Abstract: | A revolution has taken place in the rules governing the health and safety of pregnant women and those who have recently given birth, but it has largely gone unnoticed. Olga Aikin outlines the new requirements facing employers. By now most readers will be familiar with the terms of the European directive on pregnancy and maternity when it comes to maternity leave. Understandably, this received a lot of attention in the press , however, the health and safety of pregnant women at work has had a lot less coverage than it deserves. |
