Abstract:The in-car entertainment market falls into two distinct categories: built-in systems and the aftermarket. Entertainment systems built into motor vehicles by the vehicle manufacturer are classified as original equipment (OE) or line-fit and defy truly accurate analysis. The aftermarket, the subject of the bulk of analyses in this report, comprises retail sales of systems for subsequent installation by consumers or for the replacement/upgrading of existing systems.
