Abstract:Given the monumental changes impacting the computer industry, simulation analysts eagerly await those changes to impact the simulation field. While some changes have already occurred, notably the transition in computer hardware from the mainframe to the personal computer and workstation for developing and running simulations, many changes have not started. From a simulation practitioners view, the changes occurring in the computer industry could have a large impact on the simulation community.
