| Abstract: | The SLIM initiative has completed its pilot phase, whereby four teams examined how best to simplify the EU requirements in, as a trial, the Intrastat statistics system for intra-EU trade, construction products, recognition of diplomas, and plant health requirements for marketing of ornamental plants. The scrutiny of these very different areas revealed excessively complicated requirements, failure of the mechanisms for setting technical standards. |
