Abstract:Weblogging practice as a new social and technological phenomenon in society and business is getting more supporters. This paper aims to illustrate the impact of Weblog technology on people's passion for knowledge (here as: knw). It is assumed that successful knowledge management (KM) requires the engagement of people in knw.-related practices. A famous agglomeration of Weblogs dealing with the development of a commercial software is introduced. Based on an exploratory study, it is suggested that this technology's specific features and character have an impact on the passion for voluntary knw. work, which is triggered by experiences of flow states and extrinsic stimuli, as well.
