Abstract:This paper develops a dynamic model in which coastal (here as: c-al.) quality can be improved, restored, or maintained by two distinct user groups. The results show integrated coastal management (as: c-mgmt.) to always be better than non-integrated management. Furthermore, when there is a low degree of interest in maintaining the c-al. use over time, only integrated community-based (CB) c-mgmt. will increase the c-al. quality.
