Abstract:United States business schools are the shining example the United Kingdom hoped to emulate. They still have lessons to teach UK society in general as well as the business community in particular. The main weakness of the US system is that most new MBAs have little business experience of any kind. In the UK the opposite is true: post-experience courses are dominant. Americans believe education lubricates and grows economic activity, the British see it the other may sound as a 'good' that depends on a healthy economy for expansion.
