| Abstract: | The author of the article states that despite difficult market conditions, low-fares airline Ryanair which is recognized as Europe's low-fares airline and becoming the Emerald Isle's success story has been leaving its rivals on the tarmac. The author states that this company started life 17 years ago under a new management team, a major overhaul of the airline was undertaken in 1990-91 and the company was relaunched s the very first in Europe of a new breed - the no-frills airline, adapted from a business model pioneered by Southwest Airlines in the US. The author considers the following topics: A noise for consumers, Taken to the skies, Turbulent times.
