Abstract: | This article investigates seven market-leading companies in product design to find out how highly innovative companies foster ambidexterity throughout the organisation. The results revealed three issues in ambidexterity showcasing the power of paradox: 1) paradoxes can fuel, as wella s frustrate innovation, 2) innovation paradoxes require paradoxical management approaches and 3) paradox guides a common managerial approach, but enables contextual variations. |
