Abstract:The buyer-supplier (henceforth as: b-s.) relationship (as: r-ship) is the nexus of the economic partnership of many commercial transactions, based on the reciprocal trust of the two parties participating in the economic exchange. This article identifies how six ethical elements play a key role in framing the b-s. r-ship, including a model by Hosmer (in: "The ethics of management", 2008). It is herein explained how trust is a behaviour, the giving away personal control in the expectant hope of the other party honouring the duties of a psychological contract. Presenting information about six factors of organizational trustworthiness, there are provided insights about the r-ship btw. ethics and trust in the b-s. r-ship.
