| Abstract: | The author assesses the development of China-Japan trade and illustrates a lesson for Canadian firms of trading with China. China-Japan trade is used as a backdrop for Canadian firms. A significant portion of the article is devoted to advice for the Canadian industry promoting China-Canada trade. The author sees no overwhelming reasons why Canadian companies would not able to compete effectively in the Chinese market. |
