Abstract:The article examines the process of including corporate social responsibility (CSR) to the organization's strategy. Applying a longitudinal research approach and the Jarzabkowski's framework, the authors study the strategization of CSR in 12 Israeli firms. The findings of the study show that though in many aspects following the Jarzabkowski's framework, the strategization of CSR is also characterizad by eg. the lack of resistance in the organizational community, as well as the need for informative communications instead of persuasive negotiations. These findings emphasize the value-centric nature of CSR.
