Abstract: | This paper deals with a social network analysis (SNA) of the European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS) community based on patterns of co-authorship. It is found that the research community has few properties of the 'small world' and that it represents an agglomeration of co-authorships. An individual actors (or egos) analysis provides insight into who is central to the ECIS community. Based on the SNA, a set of possible interventions are proposed for supporting the future development of the ECIS community. |
