Abstract:The paper discusses individual and joint preferences. Individual preference is easily measured, but joint preference in expensive to obtain. A sub-sampling approach is done that uses MCMC and data imputation techniques to estimate individual and joint preference. The approach works well when joint data are collected from 25 % of the sample.
