| Abstract: | After a comparative study of the relation ship between banks and enterprises between China and the Nether lands, this paper thinks that we can learn the following experiences from the Netherlands: 1. Banks should give priority to granting loans to the large enterprises with good economic returns. 2. The large enterprises with good performance should be allowed to finance directly. 3. It is not suitable for the state-owned banks to be engaged in diversified business. 4. Good relationship between banks and enterprises must be established to make banks in step with the reform of enterprises. To this end, the problem of harmful claims may be solved by using the method of giving claims in exchange for shares, and re-capitalisation, which should proceed in pace with the reform of banks for commercialisation. |
