| Abstract: | This paper presents a quantitative and qualitative comparison of business research concerning hospital management in the US and in Germany. Based upon the number of articles in the relevant american and german management journals it is shown that research in the US is more differentiated. German research especially lacks for work on topics concerning hospital marketing and hospital information management. The reasons herefore may lie on a large number of specialized researchers in the US and the widely missing interest of german researchers in the institution "hospital" as a research object. |
