Abstract:This paper explores the impact of continuing education and training for adults on labour market performance in Germany, Denmark, and the United Kingdom. The paper analyses how far continuing training reduces the risk of future unemployment spells if training increases the odds of re-entering the labour market given unemployment, and whether training fosters upward occupational mobility. It suggests that the impact if training varies across the three countries.
