| Abstract: | The strategic tasks of the readjustment of the structure of foreign trade in China in the 90s are: 1) to make foreign trade to contribute more to economic growth and industrial structure readjustment; 2) to quicken the pace of going up of export industries and to optimize export commodity structure; and 3) to gradually loosen restrictions on import, to optimize import structure and to strengthen the dynamism and pressure of the readjustment of industrial structure, import of advanced technological equipment should be increased by a big margin, possibly hitting 40 percent. Import of luxurious consume goods should be well controlled. |
