Abstract: | China's attracting foreign investment has the following three characteristics: 1. The increase of transnational investments. Among 500 big transnational corporations all over the world, more than 100 have invested in China. 2. The increase of joint ventures between state- owned enterprises and foreign companies. 3. The scale expansion of foreign investment. The foreign investment in the tertiary industry has accounted for 40%. However, there exist many problems. 1. The Chinese side lacks a unified foreign coordination institution. 2. With the decrease of funds, the chinese side's ability to hold controlling shares has declined. 3. There exist serious drain of state- owned assets due to incorrect evaluation. So China should practice the strategy of combination investment and shift from focusing on quantity to on quality and efficiency in introducing foreign investment. |
