Abstract:China is working out the comparatively precise foreign trade rate. According to the figure issued at the international balance sheet published by the National Bureau of Foreign Exchange Administration, the foreign trade total volume is USD 197,83 billion, 16.42% lower than that the customs statistics. In converting China's GNP into USD, neither the 1993 nor the 1994 exchange rate shall be used. The middle way is to adopt the average of the average exchange rates of the two years before and next to the year when the currencies get devalued. Thus, we worked out China's GNP last year was USD 616.901 billion and its foreign trade increase rate was 32.1%.
