| Abstract: | China will continue to attach importance to the development of economic and trade cooperation with all countries and regions in the world just as before. By 2000, China's trade volume of import & export will total US dollar 400 billion. To this end, we will: (1)continue to deepen the reform of the foreign trade system, and establish a new one that meets the requirements of the socialist market economy and accords with the conventions of international economy, (2)create a better investment environment in order to attract foreign investment actively, rationally and effectively, (3)perfect the legal and law-enforcement systems for the protection of intellectual property rights and raise the level of protection , (4) stick to the policy of all-dimensional, diversified cooperation. |
