| Abstract: | It is imperative to have a clear idea of the orientation of the macro-policy amid a definite pickup of the national economy in 1997: The volume of exports of last year was $151 billion, up 1.5% from the previous year, but the exports of general spot exchange (accounting for 35%) bad been on the decrease all along. The export situation of this year allows of no optimism with problems in macro environment and micro operation. In consideration of this, it is necessary to (1)provide more support for export and enhance the international competitiveness of foreign trade enterprises (2)carry out in real earnest the strategy of "mega-economy and trade" , and further strengthen the combination of foreign economy, foreign aid and foreign trade (3)give fall play to foreign trade in adjusting industrial make-up, and so on. |
