ANALYTICAL REVIEW
Language:eng
Abstract:The purpose of this paper is twofold. The first is to measure the factor proportion in the Turkish economy, and to see the extent of trade-induced domestic factor savings or costs resulting from the importation of intermediate inputs in production. The second goal of the paper is to examine the consequences of a large-scale structural adjustment program undertaken by Turkey in the choice of factor proportions. In this respect, the authors particularly analyze how appropriate the choices of factor intensity after structural adjustment program have been in the domestic production, in comparison with the availability of domestic factor endowment.
