Abstract:The cases settled under the world trade dispute settlement system adopted at the end of Uruguay Round are triggering several important issues of law and procedures. The way some of those issues have been dealt with suggests that the dispute settlement organs involved do not sympathize with procedural pleas. Such pleas seem to be perceived as devices used by the litigants to prevent the proper dealing with substantive issues.
