Abstract:Retailers feared that on-line activities would impact off-line sales, and they did not extend their business to Internet immediately. To ease the impacts of this switch, the authors of this article develop a method which gives available market data to retailers. This precending method eases to understand which off-line sales are cannibalized by on-line sales.
