Abstract: | In turbulent times, companies frequently encounter the growth thresholds that prevail between handicraft businesses, small-, medium- and large-size enterprises. The strategic principles of the growth process are mentioned. The role of power concentration is emphasized. A cybernetic model of strategy-building is presented. Some goal-conflicts occurring in a growing market are described and analyzed. Four different strategic approaches to the solving of goal-conflicts are recommended: 1. coalition; 2. consultation; 3. retreat; 4. unlimited growth. It is shown how a manufacturer can attend successfully to the growth process of his clientele without having to take incalculable risks himself. |
