Abstract:The Colombo Stock Exchange trebled turnover last year. The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) is alive and kicking and in growth mode. Although it is small, its scripless system makes it one of the best in the region in terms of efficiency. Further automation is expected to make it more attractive to both domestic and foreign investors. Last year core statistics increased with turnover more than tripling to Rs18,6 billion. Market capitalization almost doubted to grew steadily from 827 to 1, 442, making it a lucrative year for investors.
