| Abstract: | The effects of ageing and physical fitness on shift work tolerance are reviewed. Ageing is one of the most cited factors decreasing the health of shift workers. Physical fitness is a rather new, but relevant issue in relation to possible coping mechanisms in shift work. This paper reviews recent advances on the relationships of ageing, physical and tolerance to shift work. |
