| Abstract: | This article investigates the relationship between musical preferences and personality variables, especially lifestyle and peer group activity. The research is based on the theory of cultural stratification, and high school students in Toronto are used as a sample. Race, school experiences and cultural capital are factors affecting musical tastes. Peer group activities and musical tastes have also a significant correlation. |
