| Abstract: | This essay article looks at the link btw. the need for the pursuit of cost advantages through labour arbitrage and the need for continued learning and sustainable competitive advantage. Defined and reviewed are outsourcing (here as: outs.), off-shoring, and their elements. Discussed are proactive mechanisms for national governments to consider to counter the short-term impact as to the 1st wave of outs. and the next steps for firms to consider with the changing scene of international competition. |
