Abstract: | Using an explanatory approach to the triggers of Human Resource (HR) outsourcing decisions, this paper evaluates them empirically. It is shown that many German firms have never explicitly considered outsourcing of HR functions. Apparently, explicit outsourcing decisions have to be tiggered to come into being. It is analysed theoretically and empirically which are relevant triggers. In this study's definition, HR outsourcing includes a broad range of internal HR functions and the respective, externally procured personnel services, e.g. temporary agency work, payroll accounting,...,HR consulting, placement services etc. |
