Abstract:Sound state-owned economy presupposes creation of and support to a number of mega-companies and mega-groups that have impact on the national economy, so as to determine the future of the national economy and guide the main force for economic development. Support from policies are necessary for growth of conglomerate companies in China. The 1000 key state-owned mega-business is to enjoy preferential policies in investment and foreign exchange. The state will focus assistance on 100 cross-region and cross-sector mega-business groups, encourage them to set up sub-companies with the property right as the tie and help those mega-business with funding which are relatively strong, profitable and in bad need of fund.
