| Abstract: | 1996 is the first year of the Ninth Five-Year Plan. According to forecast, in 1996 China's GDP growth rate will be 9% or so, its growth rate of investment in fixed assets will stay 20% or so and its retail volume of social consumption goods will rise by 22% or so with actual growth rate of 9% or so (deducting price factor) Overall, next year's consumption goods market will still be flourishing, active and stable. |
