| Abstract: | In the UK, ten years after labour market entry, the gender pay gap is almost 25 log point, whereas on the entry the gap is approximately zero. The reason for this gender gap in early-career wage growth is explored here considering three main hypotheses: human capital, job-shopping and "psychological" theories. |
