| Abstract: | The concept of "benchmarking" can be used as an instrument for strategy development as well as for realisation of measures to improve a company's performance. This paper first describes different types of benchmarking, before the process of benchmarking is explained. Furthermore, a framework for comparing and analysing nine books which have been published in the field of benchmarking is developed. |
